You don't have to use fingers on N900. It has resistive screen. Look at some videos if you're interested: [link]

It was made because I don't think average computer buyer has any idea what does “root” and “boot” mean in computer sense. So maybe they imagine that slogan like this picture. :) In other words: “Once you grow root, you never change boot”.

Yep, delightful pune. Part of the cuteness with the original slogan is that a) hardly anyone will understand it and b) it's utterly wrong since Ubuntu doesn't allow you to go root very easily because of the security issues.
